This is the first time that the Special Libraries course was taught since Winter of 2020. While some loosening of pandemic restrictions allowed a bit more on-site work, many students conducted their projects virtually again this term. The Special Libraries course has a 45-hour practicum requirement.
With the support and interest from their supervisors, the 19 students gained hands-on practical experience in a special library setting or working with specialized collections.
Working remotely allowed some students to work outside of the GTA and Ontario and some to work internationally.
This virtual exhibition represents their work from September to December 2021.
Thank you to the many partner organizations that continue to support our students by offering practicum opportunities. These work experiences are an essential part of their learning in the Master of Information (MI) program.
